The species in the mixture are particularly attractive to butterflies Wildflower species Foxglove, Red campion, Ox eye daisy, Lesser knapweed, Field scabious, Native red clover, corn cockle and cornflower

In the first year the ox eye daisy, cornflower and corn cockle may dominate .

In following years the other species should come to the fore.

Please note all the wild flower seed, except the native red clover, in this mixtures is sourced and processed as follows.  They come originally from stock grown in the wild in the UK.  They are then multiplied up commercially.  The seed is packed, mixed and distributed in the UK.  This way you can be confident that you are buying native UK Wild Flower Seed to produce Native UK Wild Flower Meadows.  The red clover is Essex which has been grown in that county for many years.

Garden Care:
  • Clear area first of all vegetation including grass.
  • Rake over the bed to break up any clumps
  • Scatter the seeds
  • Rake them in
  • Firm down gently
  • Water well until they start to grow

Wilding - let the flowers do their own thing and they will drop their seeds naturally and reappear in the following year if conditions are right.

Herbaceous Borders - thin out to 30cm intervals and keep the bed free of weeds until the plants have become established.  Collect seeds once they are ready to harvest to sow again in the following season.
